I bought an old Panasonic laptop for my granddaughter at a government sale recently and of course the hard drive had been wiped clean. I was given a Windows 98 disk but when I put it in the CD rom drive nothing happens. Someone told me that I need to put in a Windows 98 boot disk and follow the directions and create the fat partition and then put in the 98 disk and install Windows. I went to
Bootdisk.Com to make the bootdisk but not sure which one to choose. There are four choices. Window 98 OEM Mirror / Mirror 2; Windows 98 Custom, No Ramdrive / Mirror 1 /2; Windows 98 SE OEM / Mirror; and Windows 98 SE Custom, No Ramdrive / Mirror. I have no idea which one to choose.
