Exclamation Is there any way to restart system like it was originally configured

I once restarted a computer and took it back to the original manufactured state but can't remember how to do it now. It completely wipes out everything installed after purchase. I have a Windows ME from Dell. Thanks.

Hi chrystal_callahan, did your computer come with a Windows install CD? If you want to take it back to a completely fresh installation, the easiest way to do it would be to simply reinstall Windows again from a disc.

No, my mom bought this computer at a computer consignment of sorts and gave it to me but it doesn't have the disk with it. Any suggestions?

Hi you could load the Windows ME copy you have on the PC to start of fresh but Windows ME is the worst version of windows ever released . Run 98 or XP if the PC can

Ok but how? I think I read about this on another forum but I was a little unsure of exact procedures. If you can help I would be very grateful. I'm not on much right now but I'll try when I can. Expecting twins and supposed to be on beedrest. Thanks in advance.
