I must be thinking about the SDK version of DirectX, don't mind me, I was just on my way out when I posted that one lol.
It's more curiosity than anything else. I've always found a peice of software which I end up keeping and using, that trusty faithful application that has always served me well. What I don't understand, is that if you have a PC capable of supporting XP, why would you install 98? Why are you ignoring the only stable Operating Systems, Windows NT (most stable), 2000 and XP, and sticking with the old and unstable versions, 95, 98 and the most unstable operating system Microsoft has ever made.. ME? Why, dear god why? The only advantage I can see of using an older operating system, is that it requires less system resources, so for older games, running a PC of high spec must be great... as long as Windows doesn't crash in the meantime
There should be one called "Radeon Series" from that list, which may work, but like I said ATI never released a x1650 driver for that OS. It's worth a try, and it your only hope to be honest, because you won't be able to get those drivers from anywhere else. The only people that can, who are qualified to, and have the knowledge to write an ATI display driver are ATI (the original manufacturers of the card). The generic Microsoft display drivers for 98 you may have noticed are very very poor.
