Default [Resolved] Windows 3.11 Internet Connection

Erm dang guys, I need some help on this.

I am attending a college class and I really need some help with this OS.

Were are trying to do a challenge from the teacher and it is on windows 3.11 and the internet.

Anyways, do any of you know howto establish a basic internet connection with 3.11? Or even do you know of any tutorials?

I have the windows 3.11 setup disks, Internet Explorer 5.0
Windows 3.11 network drivers and the Windows 3.11 TCP/IP stack

Any pointers to lead me in the right direction would be awesome!

P.S. I found this guide, but I get stuck right away at one part so yea :P

I just need to be able to surf the net on the computer. RJ-25 on a modem or something like that would be a lot better, but if dial-up is the only way to connect to the internet via 3.11 then lets try to go for that.

Instructions here Penn Computing: PPP for Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11 where it mentions PennNet use your isp settings. You may need to download IE5 as well. hte ISP will need to support PPP protocol

or if you want to go for ADSL try this TCPIP for 3.1 I have never used this one TCP/IP For Windows 3.1x The internet protocol for Windows 3.1x. If you have an ethernet card and a broadband or DSL connection, you can have a really good browsing experience.

Erm, I don't use dial-up or dsl, I use a cable modem, so I need to use my rj-25 jack on the back of my pc. Any ideas on that?

So would the same settings work for Cable, Mad?
For my own knowledge as well-- I've never seen Windows 3.1( LOL)
