the rj-25 jack are you sure it's not an internal dial up modem?

broadband did not exist in the 3.11 days-- dial up was the only thing around.
Do you have 3.11 installed on a modern PC for learning purposes-- is that what we are discussing ?

I am 100% sure. But if dial-up modem is the only possible way, that is fine, I am sure that at the school they will have a modem to connect up to.

No, I am in a class to get my A+ certificate, and so we are learning everything about computers. We are working our way up from dos to xp, so this computer has all of the network ports, modem, rj-25, etc. but I am not quite sure how we are suppose to connect up to the net.

I am sure that you are correct about just using modem ports. I will do some more research and then reply back if I need some help. I kind of want to get this by myself and see how far I can get.

Ok i need help,

I need to connect to the internet using an RJ-45 sorry about the typo the other 2 times, I was way off. Anyways, I have 3.11, I have the tcp/ip stack, and I have my browser. The thing I need is, I cannot get the freakin network tab to come up on 3.11 to edit netbeui. How can I get just the basics of the networking tabs to show up?
