I have an IBM Thinkpad 600E 2645 5AO,pentium 2, 128MB
RAM supposed to be 6GB Hard drive, although it never show more than 2,144,034,008 bytes W98.
I have had it about 5 years it was second hand, I think it is a 1999 model, a good lap top works well, just the job to use on the move. I thought it could do with a good clear out so I formatted the hard drive, I loaded W98SE on to it when finished the screen resolution was wrong so I went to change it, it was on 800X600 it will not change, before I started it was on 1024X768 or 1280X600 it is using a standard pci graphics adapter vga.
any ideas

with the hard drive only appearing as 2Gb it must be running fat16 you will need to repartiton the hard drive to fat32 using fdisk to see the full size. Now with your display try installing the video driver from here
