hi,

got trouble with rebooting - re-installing win98. I get "C>" at te prompt instead of C:\, can't find it's a: , parts of the older win98 are still on the disk, even after deltree an del*.*. can anyone help me. bootdisk do not work.
keeps saying: "give name MS-Dos (ex.: c/\windows\command.com)"

Hello Bente,

I would like to welcome you to PC Help Forum. It sounds like your boot disk is corrupted. If you need a boot disk and have spare floppies then go to Bootdisk.Com. It sounds like you need to reformat the drive then install a fresh copy of Win98. Hope you have all of your hardware drivers.

by bootdisk: you mean a dos bootdisk or a windows bootdisk. if so, witch version should i choose

Hi there, you need to download the DOS Bootdisk and also make sure that the BIOS is set to boot from the floppy disk drive.
