got trouble with rebooting - re-installing win98. I get "C>" at te prompt instead of C:\, can't find it's a: , parts of the older win98 are still on the disk, even after deltree an del*.*. can anyone help me. bootdisk do not work

also have to add: changed bios,, keeps giving: "give name for MS-DOS (ex. c:\windows\command.com)", tried chkdsk, autofix, .. everything i can think of.
