Windows 95, 98 & ME - [Pending] Can someone tell me how to install me os. posted in the Operating Systems forums; does anyone know if me install cd is a bootable cd like xp. when you install it do you just restart the pc with the disk in the drive....

Windows me install that site has all the info you will need.After you read the 1st page just click next.

Q: Does Windows Me support NTFS?

NTFS is not directly supported under Windows Me. NTFS
volumes can be accessed only by Windows NT locally. If
Windows Me is installed on a computer already running
Windows NT with an NTFS volume, it cannot access any
information stored on the volume. However, Windows Me
can access NTFS volumes across a network connection.

From microsoft

Which means it doesnt.So if you want to install me you need to reformat the harddrive in the other format which i forgot.

if i buy windows 2000 will it work on ntfs and be bootable cd.
