Default Please Help!

Hello I have Windows ME on an old Packard Bell iMedia 5205 and I am trying to restore it to factory settings but am having no luck =( I have the red recovery disk but my floppy disk drive doesn't seem to be working as every time I try to boot with the disk in the drive it simply displays

"lide
Erreur de d'E/S
Changez la et enfoncez une touche"

which completely baffled me! I am not a very experienced computer user and was stumped by this. Thinking I could simply buy an external floppy drive I went out and bought one, only to realise my BIOS doesn't have the option of booting from USB.

What can I do? Am I able to boot from the Master CD's?

I could really appreciate some help!

Regards,

Ryan

go onto another computer that has a floppy drive, and create a windows boot disc. put in a floppy, go into "my computer" right click on the floppy drive, click "format" and select, "quick format" and "create a MS DOS boot disc" and format it. try that one

Thanks. So let me get this straight, I go onto another and create a boot disk? But won't it have to be another Windows ME pc?
