I have a pc it had windows 2000 and i was trying to restore it, i dont have a 2000 restore disc but i have the windows me disc that came with the computer. i put in the restore disc and it told me that the wires were loose or the disc was not initalized i have never used the windows me restore before so i deleted the old partition i was not sure if it would ask me. so with no partitions on my hard drive i created a primary dos partition and made it the active partition i only nade the partition one gig. well i expected the restore program to ask me to add or edit partitions. well it didnt it formatted the one gig partition and then it ran out of space while restoring. so now i cant start my computer into windows to change the partition and try again and i cant gat back into dos to change it i have tried to use the ultimate boot disk to change the partiton, and i tried a bootable dos disk and neither would work it tries to load and then it says could not boot from disc please insert system disk and press enter. someone please tell me how to get into dos, it i can get into dos i can do the rest. thank you in advance for helping.

yea when i got this computer it had windows 2000 installed on it twice and it was going SLOW. so i figured i would get rid of 2000 and put ME on it because that is what it was designed for.

this is bs my pc wont let me boot off anything but the restore disc and it wont let me into the BIOS is there any way to get into dos from the restore disc

i think i got it now you can use the restore disc to get into dos(i didnt see the advanced options button) i think i got it now.
