I've changed the boot sequence to boot from a, Ihave a boot disk that I downloaded from one of PCHELPFORUM's partners. and I still get The Invalid System Disk replace disk and hit any key. I'm pretty sure the answer is right in front of me but right now I couldn't see a Spotlight if if was glued to my face. I would appreciate and help on this. Thank You for your patience wiht my ignorance on this matter.

Hi Darth,

Sounds like a very very old PC you have there.

- Double check your BIOS settings - boot sequence, should be A, C.. There is sometimes an additional option that says something like "Floppy Drive seek on boot".
- Ensure the floppy drive is working. If it has not been used for some time, you may need a cleaning disk before using it, as they can quite often become clogged up with dust.
- Make sure you download either a Windows 95 or 98SE - Custom disk from the Bootdisk.Com - Free Windows Bootdisks, Free DOS boot disk website.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It is definitely a really old pc and yes it does have the a,c option and the floppy drive seek on boot in the bios. I guess it may be like you guys are saying either its (the floppy) dirty or just not working. And I did download a 98/se bootdisk from bootdisk.com. And I still get the Invalid System Disk error. I do appreciate you responding, THANK YOU ALL

Let us know how it goes Darth. If you decide to replace the floppy drive (they are really cheap and easy to replace), were here. What you may need to consider is what is wrong with the PC in the first place, why doesn't the PC already boot into Windows? Has the hard drive been wiped, is it corrupt or is there a physical problem with the HDD also.
