Default oh no, not him again

Hello,

I'm back again {groans from all} things are still not looking or behaving quite right (eg. the top of this page is black and speckly and hard to read) And I'm getting intermittent errors, I tried to open explorer a minute ago and it kept asking me to download google as a file?

I have not got any security yet, so I should def get this sorted, but are there any patches, utils for win 98 that may help?

I really need to get this comp working (or is it that I have to admit I have out of date equipment?)

Many thanks

Do you have a reinstall disk for 98? I recommend reinstalling. I would also recommend Windows 2000 Professional or XP because Windows 98 is no longer supported by Microsoft.

No problem. And if you get a few spare dolars, check ebay; always some deals on there.

Whatever you do you must get some kind of firewall on there-- an unprotected Windows PC online will last about 12 minutes before being infected

Virus writing on the rise as average time to infection spirals down

EDIT: several freeware ones here:
