Default Help with windows ME error
I gave my sister in law my really old crappy computer about 3 months ago.

I thought that she would have the sense enough to run spysweeps and run virus protection.

But nooooo and i have been elected their official tech support.

I am pretty sure from what i have read she has myspaced and downloaded her computer into a pretty well infected virus machine.

My question is, I have the system restore disks, if i take these disks and revert her computer back to factory status will that fix the problem, or will i need to do more?

her error is
Winupd_kb44105609 has caused an error in gsjeie83ds.dll

and guite frankly i don't know why they just don't spend 400 dollars and get a crappy little Dell because it HAS to be better that what they have now.

I can't give a lot of specs becuse i am not at her PC.

Please let me know anything if you can,

Using the restore disks should sort it.

A better solution would be to ditch windows ME which even microsoft admitted was terrible.

Thanks, i wouldn't even waste the money upgrading that PC we bought it 8 years ago or so and it was really crappy then.... they just need to upgrade Thanks for your help
