Default Using Lavasoft to get rid of Spylocked ?!?

Hi, I was here yesterday and was given the advice of using Lavasoft to rid my computer of Spylocked. When I run in safe mode it doesn't pick it up, because the icon is not in the taskbar I assume, when I run lavasoft in regular mode it shows it but if I try to delete it or quarantine it it still appears in the taskbar after I restart my computer. Any ideas ??
Thanx,
Jim
P.S.
I am running windows 98, I haven't had an issues with it in the taskbar, no pop-ups or alerts, but I can't stand seeing it there figuring eventually it will bite me in the *** somehow.

I'm sure I said this yesterday, delete the executable files manually in safe mode and then run adaware to clean any remaining parts of it away.

Hi lebowski, didn't realize you were here. What are executable files? I am not that computer savvy, just use it for e-bay mainly and research.

Well, if you use eBay I assume you use Paypal as well. Change all your passwords immeditaly. I am sorry to tell you this buy Spylocked is extremely dangerous. It collects all your info you put into your computer and sends it to hackers who can use it for whatever they want. Such as buying things with you eBay account at your expense. So to get rid of this, first change all your passwords on your eBay and Paypal and any other accounts that have vulnerable information on them. Second, download Grisoft AVG Anti-Spyware for free using this link http://free1.grisoft.com/softw/70fre...p-7.5.0.50.exe. Install it and run a scan. After you remove anything harmful in your system, restart you computer and see if it is still there. If that doesnt work we can try AVG Anti-Virus. Hope this helps.
