Default well done it again!! pci bridge error

have had the side off my spare pc to check a hard drive from another pc.:embarasse

now Ive a problem, its a p3 933 that had win98 on and not much more.
put a h/d in slave and tried to check a programme out to see if I want it on this pc.
unfortunately that h/d had Windows NT on. I clicked something and the pc froze.
now all it does is shut off, restart and shut off again.
Ive formatted C drive and removed the extra one, but now I cant get a full load of win98 on it keeps fouling up and freezing.
currently its frozen on new hardware wizard looking for a PCI Bridge. all is frozen, screen, pointer, keyboard, mouse. I have to restart and it comes up 'windows was not shut down propperly and scandisk is working, then it gets to blue win98 screen , shuts off, starts again , scandisk then win98 screen then onto new hardware wizard again and freeze.

have I done bios in? Ive reset jumper for 10 seconds to clear but it does not help????

help..

Clicking on something on that other hdd won't fry your board/bios/cpu or anything from what you have described. My money is on something not seated right on the motherbaord. When you changed that drive you may have knocked the RAM, Expansion (PCI) cards or something else. Have a really good look inside the case again and take some time to make sure that everything is seated correctly. In addition, remove the bios battery and power cable for 2-3 mins and then replace/re-test.

Default channel setup.

reset, restarts , scandisk runs, windows 98 screen comes up , blue screen, runs personalized settings again semi freezes and re starts itself, runs scandisk, win 98 screen, blue screen, personalized settings , knocks itself off on default channel setup and re starts again!!

is ther a fault on my cd?
Ive now found another hard drive which has win98 on and it runs no problem apart from only being 1/2gb size.
