Default 98 spat its data stick out.

hi guys n gals, my bro has a packard bell club series 78, i bought him a verbatim (orange) 1gig data stick. i assume his only usb port is 1.1 because of its age so picked this data stick because it was 1.1 compatible. having installed the drivers from verbatim via my 512mb data stick which i had to install the drivers for as well, it isnt recognising/showing the verbatim. have moved the wizard onto the 98 desktop and tried it from there but to no avail. its showing up in device manager with yelow question mark and no drivers installed. anyone?

Default

did you install the drivers with the stick in the USB port?

There's a chance that you may have to install the drivers without it inserted and then insert it wwhen it's done to initialize the device.
