Hi Treck..I was still up checking the forum, saw your post about the monitor driver... think I found it !

http://www.video-drivers.com/companies/270.htm It shows to be the 710B that is looked for, but I haven't checked much more than that. Make sure of the system type when you download it and it should work just fine. It certainly won't make things worse. Nothing worse than 16 colours! LoL Well.. ok... 8... been there too!

Thanks for the help, tried two of the drivers, but when I tried to update, it said that it was using the best driver, and it would not use either of the drivers i downloaded. Guess I'm doing something wrong?

Hey Trek,

Go to your Device Manager, and identify your graphic driver. Double-click to open, and then choose the driver tab. Click on uninstall, then reboot your PC. Upon reboot, your PC will automatically start installing the drivers, override the automatic install by choosing to locate the drivers from another location, and try one of the downloaded drivers instead.

Make sure that you have unloaded them if they are in a .zip format.

Well, it still won't use either of these drivers, just come up a error message, about not containing information about the monitor.But thanks for the help.

Don't give up M8, we've gotten this far, .

Everest is a bit more involved than Belarc, but it may be able to direct you to a better driver.

Run the program and then:

Click on Computer
Click on Summary
Right hand window (hardware) if the text is blue this is a link to the web site for that particular hardware.

Also, is this the original Monitor? The make listed is a Daewoo 710B, check the back or underneath and see if you can identify the make/model of the monitor.
