Default Windows OEM Disc

I have a windows OEM disc that I am pretty sure will fit the criteria for my computer at home but since it is an OEM will it work?

The CD is for Windows 2000 OEM and I am currently running Windows 98 with 64 mb Ram and 32 bits virtual memory.

Will this work?

All I need to do is be able to clean the entire computer out and then re-boot with the ability to run Explorer and maybe some MS Office programs.

Should I go for it or no?

Thanks Yall,
Adam

So you want to use a Win2000 OEM disk to clean a win98 pc. I dont think this will work, and why not use the 98 disc?

I don't have the 98 disc. I don't know whee I put it or even if I still have it. So you don't think that the OEM disc will be able to re-install windows to this comp.??

If I try it will I ruin the computer or can I still get a windows 98 CD to re-install?

Was the OEM disk created for a specific PC manufacturer? For instance, a Dell disk won't work on any other type of PC...take care with this one.
