Default [Resolved] fixed errors with boot disk. Now what?

hi

I´ve just created and used a boot disk for windows 98se to start my computer and fix some errors using scan disk. There were a bunch of errors, but now everything is checking out. My question is what next? In DOS the command prompt is A:/> when I start in safe mode. Why doesn´t windows start automatically? I have the really bad feeling that the answer is that I have to reinstall windows. Please say it ain´t so!

thanks again,
hiatt

i suppose i´m not being so clear. I used the reboot disk because i was getting an invalid system disk error. So I made a boot disk, and used that to run scan disk. This fixed many errors on the directory, among others. Before having the invalid system disk error, everything was running totally fine. How do I get out of DOS and back into windows? Is Windows still on my computer?
