That means the windows folder is gone hiatt.

I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's time to re-install Windows.

Boo.

Well, if I can get a copy of the CD is that something I can do myself? Or is it a better idea to get a professional? I´ve heard it´s pretty complex...

Thanks,
hiatt

Hello hiatt, and welcome to the forum.
While we`re waiting for the tech team to get back to you, can you give us a few details. I understand that you used the win98 bootdisk to try and repair another windows os. Which operating system are you running?
Do you have an installation disk , or is it a recovery disk/partition?
Also can you give us some details on your computer? Make, model...ect

Sorry hiatt,

It's quite easy to install 98 itself, and if you have your drivers CD, then your probably in for an easy ride.

If you don't have your drivers CD, then it can be a little teadious, as you will need to find out all the makes and model numbers of all your hardware (sound card, graphics card e.t.c.), post the details back here, and I'll find you the drivers you need.

Best to start with the install of 98 and see what is not working from there?
