Exclamation BLUBSTER prob.....Oleaut32.dll

Hi. I recently downloaded blubster (music p2p software) on to my windows 98 pc. I then rebooted and relised loads of error messages so i deleted all of the Blubster files (can't technically uninstall). The error messages keep appearing, they say either: 'Explorer: This program has performed and illegal operation and will be shut down',, or 'Error starting program: the OLEAUT32.DLL file cannot start. Check the file to determine the problem.'
I've tried loads of things to restore the file by the sfc mode, and ive tried 'fixing' the registery in the 'Command moce'.

If anyone could help me.....PLEASE DO SO!!!!!

Thanks

Hi Tom

I hope you have learned a valuable lesson by downloading that Trash and finding your system is totally messed up.
The only reason I'm helping you now is because you have tried to delete it and get your system back.
I would do a complete format to get shut of all the rubbish.
If you want help trying to get Blubster working again I will close the post.

Blubster throws adds at you like crazy, and there isn't an obvious way to remove the thing for the normal user. I think just about everyone here agrees to stay AWAY from p2p network file sharing. Now it takes a lot of effort to find all the files for blubster, and a program that does for will prolly cost you money. So, like wolfeymole said you should use KILLDISK to completley wipe away all it's traces.

Formatting erases all information/data on a hard disk drive.
You will need your Windows 98 or 98SE cdrom and a 98 boot floppy.
These disks then install the Operating System
Do you have these?
