My PC has died and my harddrive fried so I am having to start again using an older pc with windows 98. I'm having problems with the following message which is occurring every hour and then the pc dies:

A fatal exception OD has ocurred at 0028:C000A28C in VXD VMM (01) + 0000A28C. The current application will be terminated.

I have read somewhere about msconfig.exe, but don't appear to have it on my pc, from a search I did.

Can anyone help??

Forgot to say that I dont know anything about computers at all!

Hello susieg, and welcome to PCHF. It's OK if you don't know anything about computers, we all are learning here

Have you installed or changed anything before you got these errors?

Try defragging your computer in the meantime, to see if it would help.
