Booting windows 98 from dr-dos help
Ok this my first post here and i really hope you guys can help.
I have an HP 6336 and it was running windows 98se, now it's not. I reformatted the hard drive and it never prompted me to enter the 2nd disk, all it said was formatting complete and to restart the computer. So when it restarted it said no operating system found. so when i tried to put the 2nd system disk in i get the invaild system disk error. So i went and got a bootdisk (bootable cd, no floppy, my floppy drive is broke but is still being seen in BIO's) and a backedup copy of windows 98se (since my system disks wont install the windows 98 i bought, i had to get a copy from a friend. When i loaded my bootdisk it was running DR-DOS not MS-DOS. I would like to beable to load my backedup copy of windows 98 on to the harddrive. I just don't know the process to do so or even the command prompts to make DR-DOS load the setup.exe file or whatever i need to do or even if it's possable to this from a burned copy of 98. Phoenix BIO's was set back to the defalt settings and is seeing everything installed (cd-rom, HDD, all that). So if anyone can help me out that would make my day!!!
Thanks,
Pat
