Hi kcd123,

You can try this: rundll - rundll.exe - Process Information

If you can't install it on the problematic PC, you can install it on a good one, and then copy a folder called c:\program files\Uniblue onto the PC with the problems. Within there, run registrybooster.exe.

Registry Booster will only perform one fix, so you won't be able to use it after that without registering it.

Since you cannot do prework at this time, it would be impossible to identify what exactly is causing this problem. There is sooo much out there. Hopefully this will be enough for you to fix the problem and then get Prework sorted out.

OK...I think i solved the problem as there was a worm detected on expoler.exe and hostexpoler.exe file which was detected and deleted by avast. I have to try and reboot after final thorough scan with Avast but was having problems prior to Avast in that I would reinstall rundll.exe file but when I rebooted the file had to be reloaded each time so I am hoping that after detecting the worm(which you were correct) then this problem will be solved...........fingers crossed.

Thanks as I will let you know if this works or if you can think of anything else that I may have missed then it is always appreciated.

Probably the dreaded Sober worm has gotten your system.

You may like to follow the "Prework" in my signature to get your computer more or less cleaned up.
