Just an observation from the sidelines.
""Today I want to put my 32gb which I installed on my desktop computer for extra memory,""
Are you talking about adding a 32gb hard drive for extra storage?
""I brought it back home with me to try and figure it out. You see It was freezing up and when I finally was able to open it I immediately went to find out about the memory. I saw it was very low so I tried to restore it. didn't work, error came up restore incomplete..""
When you say you tried to restore the memory, what did you do ? Are you maybe confusing hard drive space(storage), with memory(
Ram) ? It sounds like youre trying to put your 32gb hard drive in her computer, not add
ram. Virtual memory is space used on the hard drive, not
ram, and the instructions given above by madmonkey allow you to increase the hard drive space dedicated for it. If im reading between the lines wrong, i apologize for insulting your intelligence. Also, you said you unplugged the drive with the computer running? If this is an ide drive, you could have damaged the controller on the drive.
