Default [Resolved] W95 Install problems

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook 435 that my dad got from a friend, it says "operating system not found" whenever it boots up so I'm trying to fix it. I posted on another message board about it and tried everything they said, nothing worked,so, I replaced the hard drive and I still get the same results. I tried using a W95 bootdisk from bootdisk.com and it says that it can't detect any drives and installation has to quit. I got the same basic results trying to install Windows NT 4.0 (which I'd prefer to have but don't need). Is there a way to get either OS to install?

Welcome to the forum Zachary.

What all have you tried, and did you make sure the jumpers are set to master? If so,try the bootdisk again, and run the fdisk utility. Select "Display partition information" and see if any shows up. If so, delete the partitions, create a new partition, set it active, and format it. If the format goes ok, then try the install again.

They had me do "format c" which the computer responded with "No Fixed Disks Present".

Genie, I'm fairly sure it's an ide HD, where do I get a new cable and go to remove the old one?
