I am running MS Windows 98. All of a sudden, the Scan Disk function shut down. It won't do a standard or thorough scan. Have tried opening it from Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools /. Have also tried to open asnd run it through Windows Explorer and MS-DOS. I have my installation CD-ROM but don't want to do a complete reinstall setup. Any suggestions as to how to isolate just the scan disk.exe without a total reinstall?
My scan disk function in Windows 98 shut down. I can open it but cannot run it. I have the Windows 98 installation CD-ROM. Do not want to run setup to reintall entire Windows 98. Anyway to extract the scan disk.exe/ file and reinstall it by itself? Many thanks.
