Default [Resolved] Modem not found on new install of 98 se

Good Day folks,

Installed win 98 SE on reformatted older cpu and everything went smooth until I tried to connect to internet via high speed modem. Service provider says that since its a new installation of WIn 98 there is something that needs to be done to the OS. and I need to phone Microsoft. Did that and they no longer provide support via phone so I had to find another comp to get online.
Anyone heard of this issue? appreciate any assistance.
Cheers Kirby

Hey Kirby!
Welcome to PC Helpforum!

I'm sorry it took us so long to give you a reply.

Is your modem recognized by your computer at all?

Can you get into Device Manager and have a look if there are any modem devices, or possible unknown devices?

Blue
