Can I take out hdd from 1 computer and install 98se from a slave on another computer?

Like I want to take the hd from com 1 and put in com 2 which runs xp on its primary hd I want to slave it in and was wondering can I stall 98 se like this?

You have 2 computers
1 running Windows 98SE
1 running Windows XP

You want to remove the Win98SE hard drive, and put it in the XP computer, and install 98SE on that?

Yes the one with 98se won't boot. I want to put it in the other computer as a slave format it and put 98se back on it. Can I do that from the winxp computer?

Yes you can do that.. Since you have XP already installed on com 2 then slave away. Once you install 98 it will add a boot config into XP's boot log. And upon startup you will be able to choose what os you want to log into XP or 98..

Yes that's the way it goes.
Make sure you install Windows 98SE on the correct harddrive, your probably don't want to reformat the XP drive accidentally!
