Default [Resolved] Windows Explorer gives "Illegal Operation"

In my Windows 98 machine, Windows Explorer has started playing up and when I start using it, up comes: "Windows Explorer has committed an illegal operation and need so close".

Any help to fix this situation would be appreciated.

Hello again Stuart.

Windows 98 is fairly old now, and has been removed from Microsofts Support critera...I suggest looking at upgrading to WinXP in the future.

In regards to your problem, is this 98 SE (Second Edition)?
