Default [Fixed] Retrieving Corrupt Data Files

I have a Dell XPS H266 running Windows 98 SE. I accidentally corrupted Windows 98 and in my efforts to correct that problem I corrupted the data files.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might retrieve the data files before I format the hard drive?

Thanks,
edryden

Hi edryden, welcome to PCHF!

When you say that you corrupted your data files...exactly what do you mean by corrupted?

I did not know how to respond to your question about what I meant by corrupted data files, so I just went ahead and formated the C: drive. The computer is working OK, I will just have to live without my data files.

Thanks,
edryden
