Ok, So i triple formatted my computer and want to reinstall win98 SE.

But of course, I totally forgot about it asking me for an "operating system backup cd" to install, instead of just being able to use the one cd labelled "windows 98 second edition restore cd"

now, I'm trying to find an ISO file that I can use to burn onto a cd to make installation of Win98SE possible.

1) IF I unformat my computer, IS IT POSSIBLE to get the ISO file from my computer? or am I going to have to resort to bittorrent or microsoft.com/GIVEUSMONEY.html ?

2) Also, could anyone provide me with steps on how to ... burn an iso onto a cd so that i can install win98se? So that it will actually perform as a boot-cd?

thanks so much.

Hi derekky, welcome to PCHF! Unfortunatly you can't get an ISO file off your computer after you've formatted 3 times.

Also, I can't recommend you to download an ISO from any bittorrent site, or on how to burn an ISO image of anything MS.

I'm terribly sorry, but all those options are illegal.
However, Microsoft have stopped support Windows 98, so if you give them a call, and tell them what has happened, they might ship you out a new cd free of charge..I've heard it happen before.
