Ok TK let's slow right down on this one as it will involve a lot of typing.
For a start you have 1 hard drive with 98 on it and 1 hard drive spare yes?

that is correct i have one harddrive and one extra hard drive with 300gb

98 is old hat these days so I would strongly recommend buying XP.
I say this as you will have all kinds of problems trying to structure a 300GB hdd using Fat32.
So.................
Disconnect both drives.
Connect the 300GB drive making sure you set the jumper/s to Master.
Then go here and follow their instructions on installing a brand new copy of XP on your system.
Windows XP Home Fresh install from CD

Re-connect the 10GB drive later and format it to use as spare space.
I would also advise that you get shut of AOL as an ISP and get someone else as soon as possible.

I say this as you will have all kinds of problems trying to structure a 300GB hdd using Fat32.
Wolfey is correct in this - Fat32 only supported 32gb hard drives. This might have changed, but i upgraded to Windows 2000 and used NTFS very quickly.
