Hey Original Bat,

Those batteries are super cheap, under $5 at Comp USA. It would be best to start out with a fresh one. The fact that you were able to use FDISK and Format the C: drive are REALLY GREAT NEWS!!!!

What you need now is an operating system CD, a restore CD will not help here because you cannot get the original one. What operating system were you planning on using?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hey Original Bat,

This is one of those times when it is probably best to get yourself an OS CD. eBay has some great prices, one is only $24.95. http://search.ebay.com/98-second-edi...sopZ1QQxpufuZx

Unless you have a usable copy, I would pick up an OS CD, and have your daughter start fresh.

Looking forward to your reply,
