Hi Will,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a very skilled group of techs here, and I am sure that we can help you locate the driver you need.

Please do not multiple post on the same issue, if you post in the wrong forum, one of the MODs will move it to the correct forum. Also, do not post your questons in someone elses thread. If you have a similar question, start your own thread, and copy and paste the url from the thread you wish to refer to so that the techs can easily find it. That makes it less confusing for everyone when answering questions.

As to your situation, we will need a bit more information. First of all, what is the graphic card you are trying to find the driver for? Is it incorporated into your motherboard, or is it a seperate card? If it is incorporated, we will need to know the make and model of your PC, and/or the specs on the motherboard.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Just making sure, you have not added a graphics card to the laptop correct, so you are just trying to update the drivers for the existing onboard graphics to incorporate your new 98se.

Did you just upgrade from 98 or another OS?

Did the screen resolution respond correctly prior to your upgrade? Did it work properly after the upgrade?

Looking forward to your reply,

my upgrade was from 98 to 98SE, and yes my resolution was working good before the upgrade.
Now my pixels is 640X480 and I can not change it .

Hey Will,

Here is a driver for a Magicgraph 128d, I have found several instances of people saying this was the only way they were able to fix the resolution issues, Compaq does not have an updated vid driver for SE.

I realize that it is listed for dell, but I think it may solve your problem. Follow the instructions, and let us know how it works for you.

Looking forward to your reply,
