Exclamation [Resolved] Win 98 Restore To Factory Settings

how can i change my old win 98 computer bac to its factory settings, evertime i Start it up it alwasy freazes. i want to delete everthing on it so i can put all my music on it so it dose not slow down my current comp will someone please help!!!!

Howdy shoty2abody,
Do you have your 98 cd or boot disk's? If it is an HP or dell I think they still had they rollback partition back then. You can go to Start...programs...Then computer help or HP etc..But it is best to have you 98 disk handy just in case.

Might have spyware on there slowing it down as well.

yea i cant find the diska and its an HP can you explaine how i do the pc help thing? i am not good wit this kind of stuff

Looks like you may need at least one disc...

If you go into my computer then click on C then windows is there a folder in there called HP in there?

And if you click start then programs is there some type of application recovery listed in the list?

idk i cant get it to go to the menu it alwayse freazes

Do you have a floppy disk available? if so you can try the 98 boot disks
