Default [Resolved] format and reinstall ME on a dell

I need to format the hard drive and reinstall windows ME on an older dell. is th eboot disc necessary? i'm not sure if the pc is shape enough to create one or not. and the disc of ME i'm using is one from dell, isnt the serial code already in the program on those? i dont think the owner has the pack it came in. any help here is appreciated

Welcome to the forum

You can try booting from the cd...insert the cd and reboot. You should be presented with the option to boot from the cd. If not go into the bios (the person that built the pc will know how to do this) and set the cd as the first boot device.
