Default [Resolved] Windows 98SE and Boot Disk

I have A Boot Disk but every time I try to use it I get an error message
SU0409 and something about having a virus program installed. I have uninstalled in Add Remove programs and removed info about McAfee in the Configuration Utility. I even deleted Mcafee file from FIND. What else can I do?
I am not computer literate, please help. Arlene

Hya Arlene , welcome to PCHF.

Do you have Norton Goback , or PGP Desktop Security installed?
If yes , then remove or disable those.
