Default [Resolved] My internet keeps going .....

Hi people i'm new here, joined up becouse i'm looking for help with my pc.
It's worked fine for ages but lately when i'm on the net and click on stuff it usually opens up straight away, like B band should.
Now sometimes when i click an item like an e-mail or item on e-bay it sort of regiesters with the pc but nothing happens for about 10-15 secs then the page opens and its ok again till the next time.
Its very annoying

Anybody know the problem??

i have recently installed a new dvd drive and printer but it was ok with these installed for about 2 weeks.

win 98SE
pc speed is 1000 ??
c drive is 19 GIG
memory is 256mb

thats about all i know
cheers

Hi purplepatch, welcome to PCHF,

Let's just chack that your PC isn't infected with anything that shouldn't be there. Follow the instructions in the "Pre-Work" link in my signature and when you are done, post the 2 resulting logs in your reply as attachments.

Hi there Purplepatch.

Youre hjt log is clean , but can you also do an online AV scan here:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm

And post the log from it? Also it seems you dont have a firewall , have a look in our download section for free ones if you want.

Just some tracking cookies , nothing bad. And since the hjt log is also clean i dont think it is malware that is the prob here.
