Well, getting closer to the end of the road (sigh). Got my dual boot working, got my bad recycle bin recreated, ran Windows update and downloaded a boatload of security updates plus some kind of network adapter update, which apparently was not a good idea as it killed a file called WOL558.vxd, and now I can't connect to the internet.
I located this file online and since I'm dual boot, I have pretty easy access to anything on the Win 98 drive. Where should I put this file? Is it ok if I just put it there (wherever "there" is) and restart, or do I need to do this opening up/removing/replacing cards business I'm reading about here & there?
I want to do it right, not quick.
