Question [Fixed] Win 98 Auto page forwarding not working?

Hi,
Im having a problem for a while (IE6) where you visit a site and they have a page that automatically directs that page to another. What happens is the page will be left blank, 'DONE' comes up thinking the page is loaded and it wont re-direct?
For example, www.ausrotary.com should re-direct to http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/forums/index.php
Where and how do I fix this?

Hello and welcome to PCHF.

To me it sounds like you might have some sort of `popup blocker` which is preventing the other page from opening.

Do you have any toolbars within your IE that mentions popup block or do you have the new google toolbar?

Cheers Zimbo. Its been like this for quite a while. I think I did try the google toolbar. Under VIEW/TOOLBARS there's an option for 'google'. Add/Remove hasnt seemed to do anything to it.
I may have got a pop up blocker with a program somewhere along the line. Nothing on the toolbar about a popup blocker though. I never knew it would stop re-directing a page if thats what it also does.
Any idea how go get things back to normal?

Try and boot into safemode and then go to add/remove programs and uninstall google toolbar from there.

You can also post a screenshot of your add/remove programs, that way we can have a look and see what other programs could be potentially blocking it.

Alternatively you could load Mozilla and see whether that has the same issues.

I installed Mozilla and the problem was solved, along with a font and ssl security issue I had through IE. Everything is working perfectly again. I never knew another browser would be such a small file. Thanks for your help Zimbo!
