Of course we are ready FB,

First thing you need to do is disconnect your current hard drive and then plug this new drive in. Before you connect it make sure it is set to master (on the jumper)

If you get confused then you can take a look at this guide.

Once you have the new hard drive installed you will need to boot off your windows cd and partition your hard drive, then format and install windows.

Default 98 stopped cold /New Hard Drive

:hello2: :grin: :cool: O0 Well Thanks Ladies and Gents for all your help, i slapped that new seagate barrracuda 80gb ata 100 ide 7200 rpm i purchased for 57 bucks including 3 day shipping into my pc like a breeze so far this thing is flying without any glitches at all, here have a cup of java on me :coffee2: you guys are the best never dreamed it would be a hardware issue Thanks again .

Well I'm soon to venture into my next project ,i have a spare bio star mobo with the Amd Athlon 1.3 ghz processor and 756 megs of ram left over from my last PC upgrade I'm thinking about using this to build another system i have a complete system that has every thing in it but its only a runt PC nothing worth while so i imagine you'll be hearing from me again lol ,Thanks again and ill gladly spread the word about you guys how do you think that i learned how to become a PC savvy individual .
