Hey you guys Its ok I looked the other way.

It looks like its only the icons & programes.

Personally, I think your PC will really struggle if you put XP on there. It's not an option, sorry.

Ok so the XP option seems to have to be put on hold. Do you know if the rest of my system is going to be compatable with a new hard drive ? (not that I can afford one)

Any further ideas of how to get rid of the Lnk problem.

You should have no problems adding another IDE drive to your current setup. Yes, it's a DIY job but once you have bought the drive, come back and we'll walk you thru the process
