Well ME stikes again...LOL

I haven't got the error message again since I posted this

either something fixed the problem or it went away because it knew you guys would figure it out. I guess I'll wait to see what goes wrong next. Thanks for scaring away the problem :

I still can't make a user back up. Is there a way to do it without the resore disk and make sure everything I need is there?

I think XP will be a present for myself before I rip out all my hair trying to fight with keeping this thing stable....

I'll be back soon with more problems soon.:banghead:

Yes Hengis inbues us with great scariness to RLMs (rotton little monsters) they flee whenever we are near, hehehe.

:-D Dreams, let me know when you get your XP, not only will it make you so much happier, you will have more time to come up with fun questions for us  .

Also, when you are ready to switch, Merlin, one of our magical genius', wrote this fabulous direction for making XP run more smoothly, I switched and my pc just hums.

Look forward to seeing you in the forums.

I already had Merlin let me know what I need to get upgraded...

Right now I just have to come up with a couple hundred x-tra $$$'s to get upgraded.

I'll be sure to come ask a million questions before and after I get it.

later and thanks,
Dreams

I still have to post twice to get it to go through here

:-D That's great, always perfect to get the info from the masters mouth so to speak.

I wish I could tell you that we'll patch you up and you won't have any more problems, but personal experience tells me otherwise.

Hint; Figure out how much your personal time is worth to you, put that much away for the time you have already spent fixing your PC, I'll bet it adds up quicker than you think. (Oh and really put it away in like a jar or can or an old fashioned piggy bank labeled - FOR MY XP UPGRADE, it makes it harder to spend that way. )

Look forward to hearing from you.

Well I'm back :

I have 3 error codes it gave 2 times I tried to shut down, it isn't giving them now again.

they are all windows errors and it say to restart my computer from the start menu or hit alt, ctrl, del(which doesn't work) or hit any key to continue(which doesn't work either) then I have to push the restart button on the machine to do anything.

the codes I got were:

Error- 06:05AB:000040B0
Error- 06:05AB:0000CE50
Error- 0D:090F:0000348D

the last one just keep reappearing when you "hit any key".

I have no idea what they mean or why they keep coming?

another question too I was going to clean out my temp folder and noticed that now there are 3 system folders in it. It has the folder for cookies, history, and temporary internet files. I selected all and delete and it says they are system files and some programs won't work. should I leave them there? how did they end up in there anyways?

Thanks, Dreams
