Be careful where to put the jumper. It does connect 2 pins on your mainboard.
There are three in a row somewhere on your mainboard.

Normally the jumper is set like:
[ . . ] .
When you put it
. [ . . ]
this way, you'll reset your BIOS.
Watch out, you should
NOT start your pc with jumper in second position. Just leave it on there for about 30 seconds. Then put it back and start the computer.
During this you have to make sure not to connect the computer to a power source.
