:-) Hey All,

This is wierd, but I have the same type of computer as Dreams.

One comment about getting new RAM for your PC, make sure it is the right type. Your PC is older and the new RAM is a different size, I found out the hard way . The best thing you can do is carefully remove one of the sticks you have now and bring it with you. You might need to go to a computer repair store as opposed to a regular retailer like Best Buy. Remember that you only have two slots and you max out at 512, so you are looking for two 256 sticks of RAM.

Believe me, once you get XP you will wonder why you stuck with ME for so long. :-D

Just an aside, when I first changed over to XP I had some difficulties, the Compaq was not cooperative. Hopefully this will not happen to you, but if at all possible, try to get a laptop that you can use to access the internet so you can contact us for help while you are working. If you're prepared for any difficulty it is much less stressful, especially if you have not reformatted before.

Best of luck,

TTFN

Here is a great site to find what exact memory you need.. Find out and find it elsewhere cheaper :-)
