Windows 95, 98 & ME - [Answered] suggestions on upgrading from ME to XP... posted in the Operating Systems forums; them to but wacth out for black disc's etc etc.. make sure you know who your getting it from or if there rating is high!!!...

no if you get the full version no it wont matter... you can get an OEM disc there cheaper!

So full version it doesn't matter what I have installed...K

I won't buy anything that I want to work from walmart...it was founded in this area so I don't trust them for electronics of any kind.

but then I don't trust buying things online either...


if you think of anything else let me know.

nope nothing else.. you can see if your machine is ready for XP or not..


this is for home verson

PC with 300 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233-MHz minimum required;* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended

? 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)

? 1.5 gigabyte (GB) of available hard disk space.*

? Super VGA (800 ? 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor

? CD-ROM or DVD drive

? Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

well I think I'm ok...for now except for RAM...I have
700 megahertz Intel Celeron
10.93 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space(as of belarc yesterday)

I'm not sure about the
? Super VGA (800 ? 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor


I'm pretty sure it is...but the rest of it is there. so now all I have to do is go for it...

yes dont worry you have the vga!!! Once you install XP and get more Ram you will be suprised how faster your pc will be!

Again just print the tutorial I wrote out it takes you step by step.. Installing XP

And where here any time day or night to answer any question's
