Change the boot order to C drive, CD-ROM, Floppy.

If you look at the pic below , can you find that in youre bios? Look for the "primary master" and see what it says after that.
Also reset the boot order again to what it was , otherwise you can't boot from floppy or cd anymore.

Might want to open your case and take the IDE cable off the hard drive and put it back in.. Maybe came loose (the little green Windows's monsters ya know :-D) then turn the pc back on... Make sure it is firmly in on the motherboard as well.

Okay, I want to take my HDD to a friends house to connect it but I don't know which of my HDD's is the right one. I have the master and the slave but I don't know wich is which. One has the ribbon going into the other drive, and that drive has a ribbon going into the motherboard.

The Master is usually the yop Hard drive.. follow the IDE cable from the motherboaard to the first hard drive it goes too thats the master, then the one it connects to is the slave

You can also look at the jumper settings after removing.

And are they the same brand and seize?
