psu

After much trouble with the ram i managed to install 98se. But everytime i turn it on, after 2 minutes it freezes. Any ideas?

Ok, this sounds like a heat related issue....seeing as you have replaced all the other parts that could be faulting. Open your case and make sure that your CPU fan is spinning - if it is then remove the CPU heatsink and fan and re-seat it properly.

I put a new psu in which was double the power of the old one. the psu fans and the case fans are spinning but i reckon if its heat related, its caused by the fact the psu is so powerful.

i'll have to go back to using an other motherboard so there is less power cables to connect. worth a shot though

EDIT:Reseat the heatsink if it is spinning?

Here you can download this program to tell you exactly what the temps are and can even speed up the fans see it that helps. Please dont mess with the overclocking section on it thoughh

All is well now!
The powersupply generated to much heat. We put a less powerful one in and it all seems to be working
